I would recommend you install your resistors inside the car, retaining the integrity of the external wiring to minimise the chance of water ingress. Also, bear in mind, the resistors will heat up, so, wherever you put them, keep them clear from anything they could melt/burn.

So is it not safe to glue the resistor just into the back of the light??

I wouldn't want to. I'm sure many do, and over time, some may regret it, but others will get away with it. As I say, it's much better to leave the external wiring intact anyway and keep modifications inside in the dry when possible. Water and salt can spread through wiring like you wouldn't believe - all the way to the ECUs. |

Thanks for that tip! So I need wire the resistor into the existing wiring on car lights loom and fit resistors onto bodywork inside

The 15ohm resister will get very hot during use. Much better to use a 50 ohms resister. On my last sport I fitted (glued) 50 ohms resistors with heatsink, from RS Components |

Has im attaching them to the bodywork not rear of lights does it matter as much to use 50ohm ?? |
