Was looking at the new C-class the other day, Merc dealer looked over my Sport and got back to me a week later saying they think it's an import and offered me a stupid low price or sudgest I sell privately.

They said its not showing up as import but that some info is missing on hpi reports and "leads them to think it may be an import". But in another breath he said that could be caused by another reason.

As far as I know it's a uk car.
it's a 2006 and I've owned it 5years.

My V5 says "declared new at first reg" and also the section4 B and B1 dates both match, and there's no mention of import anywhere.

My service book shows it had its PDI done at Perrys Landrover UK in Luton in 2006, surely if it were import it would of been PDi'd out of UK?
Is there a way of finding out for certain if it is or not , or are the checks I've done on my V5 and service book to be taking as good enough?

Is it a import though? it was exported to Gibraltar, which is british, then to ( northern ) ireland also british, I have no idea about Gibraltar paperwork, but I went to our local dvla office with my irish car tax, irish plates, british mot ( having been done the day before ) and logbook, and came away an hour later with a british tax disc, a british number plate ( that I had to pay extra for ) and the logbook arrived a week later, no where on the log book does it say anything about its travels, just that it was first registered in the uk 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater )))

There is no secret to finding out who delivered a car - no JLR employee access to Topx required - no secret squirrel stuff.

Just log into Tpoix - put in your VIN and wallah - like magic the delivery dealer number appears - look the dealer number up through the dealer system and you know where the car was delivered. 07MY RRS TDV6

I've got to the bottom of it.
It's not an import, but was imported briefly.
I rang up LR customer services they done a check on it as the Topix wasn't sayin much.
It was built and made here to UK/Europe spec and then bought by a dealer in Stockholm for some reason shipped over there, sat there for a month then came back over here and was PDI'd and registered new by a dealer in uk. Strange.
It's an Overfinch so wonder if it's been an early promo vehicle or something n was sent over they're to show it off.
Anyway pleased I got to the bottom of that. Java black 2006
