2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I think you might find that it was done that way to get around taxes, it used to be a whole lot cheaper to go to some countries in the EU to buy a car as the pre-tax cost in some markets like Denmark is considerably lower than it is in the UK so that after tax the price remains competitive. Now that things internally in the EU have settled down and the UK economy has improved so much there is no incentive to go to The Netherlands or Denmark or Germany to buy a UK spec RHD car. In my previous post I didn't mean that it was owned by the Army, I meant it may have been an member of the armed forces benefiting making use of their special export arrangements for private cars. They get a big discount if they are station abroad and want to buy a car, IIRC they can buy a new car every year and export it at tax free prices. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Scotland 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Santorini Black

In the eyes of a dealer that would still make it an import, Tim.
I bought a Subaru Impreza from holland that way, it was UK spec, and paid the VAT as soon as I bright it back. It developed a clutch problem in year 2, which the dealer refused to do under warranty as it only had a years manufacturers warranty, the other 2 years were topped up by the importer. But hey , I still saved 30% on it.
I recently tried to get a Dutch Land Rover dealer to quote, due to the strength of the pound, but he refused, citing Land Rovers refusal to supply him with a RHD car, which goes against EU rules I think.

Cheers

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Landrover customer services over the phone said it shouldn't be classed as an import, and they said a Landrover dealer shouldn't be classing it as import and or using it as an excuse to reduce the partex offer.
It was a merc dealer I was at though. Although I've since had a partex offer from a Landrover dealer in Carlisle offering me £4500 more than the merc dealer and they had no issues or mentions of imports etc so I do believe Merc were talking aload of Censored to get the price down. Java black 2006
