Thanks for the replies lads. So conti's must be a softer compound compared to Pirellis. Normally you hear of Pirellis not lasting too long. I had Bridgestone's on my last X5 and they did over 30,000 miles.

Really enjoying the new car but do have a question which I hope somebody may be able to help me with. I thought the car now came with the ability to open the boot by waving your foot under the back. I have tried this and nothing happens! Maybe this isn't standard on my HSE. Any ideas? Thank you.

I am sure it is standard now. Did you have the key on you as it needs to sense that I believe. The manual is available on line so check that as well. MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys. Last edited by Dave777 on Fri Sep 04 2015 7:03pm. Edited 1 time in total |

@mattmars - you have to wave your foot under the corners now, not in the middle of the rear bumper. |

I think I saw a diagram on how to do it . It's more of a " lift and lower " as if you were trying ti kick it ( but don't ) on either rear corner .

Thank you for all the advice on the foot waving boot opening facility. It does work but seems to involve quite a lot of waving around at the back of the car which I'm not sure would be really practical if carrying a heavy box or a suitcase in each hand! Maybe I need more practice. Overall, really pleased with the car which is my first Sport after two full fat RRs. Thank you again for the advice. |
