Nah you'll be alright if your premiums have been sensible so far. NFU, LR and DirectLine etc. have always quoted me silly prices. I was more worried about the likes of Admiral and Elephant jumping so much compared to March, which thankfully isn't the case on comparethemarket.com anymore. The quotes are now comparable to what I normally pay every year. Still too high but that's nothing new for me Big Cry When I have time, would just like to figure out which factor is contributing the most: London, driving offences or age. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Looking around for insurance now the car should be arriving in a couple of weeks. In June LRI quoted me £568, and today their quote has gone up to £722.

Wanted to ask if insurance premiums have gone up for everyone in general?

A few of us should be getting our MY16's soon and wanted to ask which insurance companies your all getting the best prices from at the moment?

My current insurance is with M&S and they just quoted me a shocking £3500.

Getting various prices starting from around £550 by the Meerkats

I am currently with Land Rover Insurance on my Evoque with the renewal next February so I will probably just pay the difference to renewal time and then shop around. RRS is due at dealers 2 October.

Just done an on-line quote with LR for full years premium and it came out at £507 with legal protection, protected NCB and lowest excess. Prices have gone up a lot, they only quoted £379 for an F Type back in April. 2018 MY19 HSE Dynamic, Santorini, Ebony/Ivory, Sliding pano, Adaptive cruise, Black wheels. Arrived 3rd September 2018
2015 MY16 HSE Dynamic, Santorini, ebony/cirrus, sliding pano, cameras, black wheels - Arrived 1 October 2015

I don't have the latest model, but have always found NFU very reasonable - and they are easy to contact and talk to. Think I pay about £600

I am with NFU and pay circa £350 for RRS 2011 HSE protected no claims bonus as well. Including 180 days of EU cover.

£580 Direct Line
SDP and travel in conjunction with job.
£500 Excess (200 Compulsory £300 voluntary)
10k miles pa
Protected NCB

LV were slightly cheaper at the renewal but the hassle of having to send them driving licences etc, proof of NCB; for the extra £50 I stuck with Direct Line

Tried getting a quote from Direct Line but they don't list the RRS HSE Dynamic 306BHP. Got a quote of £604 on the 288BHP. Someone called me from there and he couldn't find the 306BHP version on their system either.

That Admiral quote is good! What's the excess? direct line excess was £500

Just done an Admiral quote came out at £299 including protected NCB, Legal and Injury. Would need to read the small print and check I have like for like with LR's own insurance. Total of £550 excess (voluntary and compulsory) looking good so far. If all checks out may go with Admiral if I can get back the balance of my LR premium on current car. 2018 MY19 HSE Dynamic, Santorini, Ebony/Ivory, Sliding pano, Adaptive cruise, Black wheels. Arrived 3rd September 2018

I would doubt that Admiral, Direct Line, Churchill or LV would include Offroad use, cover for what you chose to tow or what you stick on a roofrack like LRI does. In fact if you mentioned venturing off a classifed road (ie an M, A or B class road) with any of the others they would put the premium up through the roof. I appreciate that not many want offroad cover, but just driving up some country lanes or into a field for a local show are classed by them as unclassified roads ............. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
