Macbook help

I promised my niece I'd stick her old Macbook on Ebay. I've wiped the hard drive but can't reinstall the OS as Lion is no longer available to download from the App Store and she hasn't got her original discs…..so I have a non functioning Macbook sitting on my desk.

Any suggestions ???? FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

Ex 2014 320d X Drive, M Sport Touring - ok I guess

Send me a pen drive and I will send you a copy of yosemite image. This is not theft as the software is free for apple. or use the recovery program, instructions here :

Thanks Jeff. I've tried OS X Recovery but the problem is that it will only reinstall Lion as that was originally installed which would be fine, but it is no longer available at the App Store. Unfortunately the Macbook wont run Yosemite. I'm stuck in a bit of a vicious circle here...... FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

I am quite sure Lion is still available. I just checked 10 seconds ago. Using US Mac App Store:

However you will be catered for in any Apple Store, they will happily install Yosemite for you. Regards etc.,

Hi Paul - tried them but it won't complete the install as it knows they are from a MBP not a lowly MB. Big Cry FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy
