If you get LR Assist out then they'll organise a replacement car for you. If you go in to the dealership then the first 24 hour of replacement car is down to you on the warranty. The dealer won't have a loan car available on short notice which is why they're saying call out Assist. Also, under the terms of Assist, the dealer is supposed to sort the issue in 48 hours if possible so it'll bump it up the work list at the dealership.

Just report everything before the 6th it doesn't matter if they cannot book it in, make sure the fault is reported before the 6th, then you have everything on your side. Any fault that occurs whilst the car is under warranty will be fixed under warranty. The fix date can be after the date the warranty expires but the faults MUST be reported whilst the car is under warranty.

I will ask the dealers about extending the warranty, just put my details in online and its offering Land rover extended warranty with Land rover assist for £1030 (12 months) is this about right or will i get it cheaper at the dealers. Mileage on car is 20000. |

Wow, I got it included in the price of my car for 2 years with £750 MOT fail insurance. I just cannot see the logic in not buying such a car from the LR approved used scheme.

Is that Approved or Select? The Approved is the better one to get as it's unlimited claim value up to the price of the vehicle. Select is limited to about £3000 per claim. As mine has now passed 100k miles LR Warranty doesn't want my business any more. Shame, it's been very useful these past 4 years... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

As marvik says,,always best to buy from a LR dealer.I would never buy a car like this from a Indi.ive just bought a 2012 & got 2 years warranty + the next 2 services for free & paid the same money for the car as indi's & private were asking.
