At level 7 I can't hear mine when the car is moving... and at 20 it's VERY LOUD INDEED!! At 90mph, I have it set to 15 and move it down to 13 for town traffic.

Mine is just a bit too loud (particularly in the morning when my ears are sensitive! ) at 7 and I usually turn it down to 5. I guess the bottom line is.....it would be nice if it could stay at your last setting, as does every other car I have ever had! Mr LR technicians......what's you take? RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof |

There may also be some difference between the standard system and the Premium ICE number.....amps, speakers etc. Mine is your bog standard model. RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof |

Something that bothers me about the volume is that if you have a DVD playing through the RSE system, or an iPod or other player connected through the AUX socket, setting the volume level at 20 sort-of equals maybe a 10 with other sources (radio and CDs), so of course you crank it up to 25-30 to hear it properly... But if the navigation lady suddently chimes in with her instructions at that volume level, she blows your eardrums away, and offsetting the nav volume level while using the DVD or AUX inputs does not "stick", either. It's annoying to say the least, and an inconsistecy that I hope Land Rover will fix in 2007MY. |

thats the downside of extended battery lives of Ipods and other portable equipment - you just sacrifice the line level voltage output. We have so many problems with our installs with Ipods - they can be a right pain!! |

Why would you want to ? Do you really want to save volume settings of lower than 7 or higher than 20 ? |
