It's probably the torque converter rather than the auto box.

Direct from LR is your best bet. Facotry recon unit, all done by ZF.

They can be repaired, but it is a bit of a specialist job, setting up bearing preloads etc. |

Ah, so a new box then really. Wow, that's going to become a pricey little game quite quickly... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Hi guys sorry to hear about gearbox slipping. My 2005 rrs in currently in the garage having a new gearbox fitted. £3000 bill paid upfront but I get 2 yr unlimited mileage warranty and piece of mind. Just a bit fed up waiting to get the rrs back, having to drive around in my daughters Peugeot 107. Not the most comfortable of drives etc, but better a 2nd class drive than a 1st class walk.
