Steering wheel wobble

Hi I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this issue at 50moh onwards I get a wobble through the steering wheel. I've done a search and it seems it could be a number of things from bottom arms bushes, tie rod ends, steering rack, wheel balance I obviously don't want to start going down the route of chucking parts at it unless I'm sure it's gonna fix it as it all soon adds up!
So here's the symptoms:
22inch alloys
Wobble above 50mph
Wobble continues if your cornering (only above 50mph)
Some roads won't do it at all and it'll be perfectly smooth then on another road it shakes you to bits!
Does it both on the power and coasting

So far I've had the wheels balanced and they are all ok, I've swapped front to rear and still the same. the tyre place said the tyres are 'ditch finders' and they said there cheap chienese tyres and said a new set of front tyres would cure it. The previous owner put these brand new crappy tyres on it 1 week before I've bought it so they've only covered 2000 miles. So I don't want to go replacing tyres unless I'm 90% sure it's gonna solve the problem while I know they could be the issue the tyre place is after all in the business of selling tyres so they are of course going to say they are the issue

Is it really on 24in rims? Shocked

Cheap tyres may well be the cause - even if not, cheap tyres on an expensive and very heavy 4x4 is just stupid. Put some half decent rubber on it before you find out how badly cheap tyres perform when it matters.

What year / version RRS is it? The early non-S/C versions came on small rims and didn't have the damped steering rack that was fitted to those that left the factory with 20in rims as standard. The rack became standard fit a few years in to the RRS's life. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Australia 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Zermatt Silver

I'm running 22" rims and i had exactly the same issue.
Mine was cheap Chinese tyres that weren't round or correctly load rated for the vehicle.
Put a full set of new ones on and its perfect.

Sorry that was a typo the wheels are 22inch!! I've edited the original post now

It's a 2006 tdv6, is there any easy way to destiguish a damper rack from non?

The tyres are 'Durun' F-one , surprisingly they have a website! http://www.duruntyre.co.uk/english/car.htm

Quick update for anyone who maybe having same problem, I had a new set of tyres on front which has made it much better but still a slight wobble but I've found some play in the drivers side front wheel bearing so I will change that tomorrow and see if it cures it

I thought it was sorted but there must be another issue somewhere. It is now intermittent sometimes it all ok then all of a sudden it shakes worse than ever! Got mot tomorrow so hopefully they will pick up on any wear in bushes/bearings etc

How's the ride on yours? I've read going to poly bushes can make it pretty harsh and I already thought it was harsh as it is running 22's !

i put poly bushes on 2 of my sports and found the steering and ride much sharper and defined a big improvement and also stopped the dreaded 22 inch wheel wobble, although i don't own a sport now ...i got fed up of spending on them silverRRS 2.7 TDV6 22"WHEELS FULL COLOUR CODE,STEPS,REMAP..gone
