The speedo would be under reading by about 3.6%. Given that it will be set to over read a little, I wouldn't think this would be an issue if you keep it in mind (In fact, it will probably give a closer reading to the true speed). Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Yes, the error is quite big, just had a look at an on line tyre bible and it look like I would need to get 275x45x19 to get a rolling circumference with an error of just 0.29%.

I wouldn't worry about it. Look at it this way; If you're speedo were 100% accurate (which it won't be), then when it's reading 70, you'd be doing about 72.52 - Well below the 10% + 2mph suggested (and it is only suggested) tolerance used by the police.

Oxymoron I see where your coming from but I rather like the 20s, and for what I use my sport for they seem like an ideal tyre for my needs with a little more sidewall protection and some extra grip when the going gets tuff. 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

Yes, with the excellent tread life and less noticable economy decreases reported, it's never a bad choice. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

One thing I have found with the GG AT is that it seems to be susceptible to embedding of stones in the tread blocks. Not just in the sipes but the actual rubber itself.

I haven't noticed any stones embedded in the actual rubber yet but it seems to attract lots in the tread block sipes as you say. I'm amazed they can make a tyre that has such soft rubber yet last so long!? 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black
