Hi does anyone know where to find an ignition feed inside the cabin - I want to fit a dash cam ? |

really.......? I'm not sure how cutting off the end of the plug and wiring it to the back of the socket would be different from plugging the socket into the ign switched socket? both deliver the same voltage.... You CAN get a battery monitoring box that will stop the Dashcam from working when the voltage is too low, but if only running Ign switched live, it shouldn't be a problem. In mine the cigar plug reduces the voltage to 5v so cutting the plug off may not be a good idea MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

Thats right, its the plug not the socket that reduces the voltage to 5v. Thats why there is a hard wiring kit on the market,that has a reducer in the wiring itisme |

There is a switched live feed up in the overhead console, I bought a hardwired kit for mine, and it comes on as soon as I get in and goes off when I lock it up, there is a very good post on here, step by step of how to wire it, took 15 mins in total and worked 1st time MY 13 3.0 SDV6 HSE Black Edition
