Does anyone know if it is possible to replace the trim that surrounds the rotary gear selector? It is a chrome colour.

I can't see the part specifically in your thread but as you have changed yours I'm assuming that I could get hold of it from the dealers?

It's on the thread and shows the new grey trim surround. To change this the centre consule has to be removed and turned upside down to be able to unscrew the trim surround. Gearstick and surround need to be removed and if I remember the cup holders as well. Once this has been completed you can pull the trim out.

Oh sorry you want to replace the gear selector itself again centre consul off and remove screws. The part you are now saying is around £280

I guess yours is all scratched ???????

It's not just the trim it comes complete with all the terrain switch pack.

It's the complete surround that I need as you say it's scratched a bit and looks somewhat unsightly. If I don't replace it do you know if it can be re polished or something like that?

Personally I'd replace with new. It's that highly polished it does show marks very easy. As said above the gear selector in chrome was very expensive :blub

A little tip, once you replace it keep your keys in your pocket. this is how it gets scratched by keys being left on the centre consul ( cup holder area) keys in hand to get out apply handbrake and it scratches..

Yeah grey outer trim around gearstick consul £45 chrome trim (for mine with a gear knob ) £280 however yours has the rotary dial may be more expensive
