United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Lux Ipanema Sand
Moved over from the Dark Side

Well finally got there, beautiful 3.0 HSE Luxury Very Happy moved on from my Range Rover Vogue, just could not get on with it, not sure why it really was not a patch on my earlier 4.4 Vogue and a million miles of this 'newer' Sport. The Range Rover I now feel is an earlier era car, the technology and build is 2000, the RRSport's doors 'close' and do not 'slam', the ride is whisper quiet, the seats are some of the best with beautiful soft leather. Please no offence to the FFRR beautiful in its own right and 6 enjoyable years with my 4.4 but a bit dated now in areas.
Had thoughts about the colour but really like it and it is different to the closely related Silver (a fav of mine) The leather is Ivory and really compliments the external colour. I know there are a lot of people that like Black but the Ivory really lightens up the interior, beautiful condition other that a little curb rash on three of the rims (any recommendations just do not want a full refurb as some bad experience previously). We did look at the new RRS and test drove one a few weeks ago but just felt this was a good intermediate step, amazing how similar the interior is, and will be one to consider in a few years time, mean while looking forward to enjoying our new to us HSE Luxury Very Happy

Thank you.

Totally different to the older ones, we drove one too back to back with the 2015 RRSport and preferred the ride. It was was smoother, seems the new Sport is a bit stiffer than the 2011/12 ones, the interior was a bit more conservative or dare I say it 'more mature' but loved it. Small point, the centre arm rest in the RR slopes down at the front end which I found annoying if you were using it but beautiful to drive Thumbs Up

Scotland 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Santorini Black

When you say the armrest 'slopes down' do you mean because it is rounded at the end, or because it is not adjusted properly?
You do know there is a knurled knob under the front end to adjust it up or down?
My elbow and forearm rest quite nicely if I'm holding the wheel at 'twenty five to two', not quite what is in the Highway Code, but comfy for me!
Nice car btw!

Cheers

I mean the centre arm rest / glove box in the middle not the movable arm rests on the seats.
I would agree the driving position is spot on.

Nice. I'll keep an eye out for you on the M27 Thumbs Up
Get a spare wheel protector and change out the rear light mounting screws.

I was also thinking of a Full Fat. I could bung the wife my Sport to stop her asking for an Evoque. Wink Get a 2005-2009 RRS (FAH500210) sat nav/dash mat here - the one that wasn't there when you bought the car.

Spiffing wheel centre caps available
