Definitely a heat thing, creaked this morning then out again at 4ish after being in sun all day and no creaking

Hi not known of any other issues, but the part your concerned about is very easily removed. Open the top glovebox and pull the left side of the dash ( centre part ) carefully pull out and lever it and it will come out. Only held in with clips. you maybe be able to stick some sticky pads behind to stop any rubbing or vibration. |

ALWAYS use a plastic paint scraper, blade , spatula or wedge when removing any trim items, never a screwdriver. |

Noted, thank you. Had a quick look and it will need a spatula type implement to lift off. Assume the switches and start button on the panel will have cables long enough to lift the panel off but not accidentally disconnect them.

There is enough cable to pull off and disconnect the plug which feeds clock, start stop and other buttons. The clips won't break you'll be OK. |
