Are U.S and UK Electrics and Plugs Compatible?

I have a question on electricals of the RRS in that if I order a switch pack from the U.S for a RRS would it be compatible plug wise with a UK RRS??

In particular I am talking about an electric seat switch module, I am fitting a pair of RRS front seats into a VW T5 build, the passenger seat is fine as switches built in but no switches on drivers seat as guessing they are integrated into door card or similar. So I thought I sourced a U.S passenger seat switch module then I could fit it in the blank on my drivers seat connect it up and hopefully bobs your uncle!!

Can anyone tell me if this will work??

Thanks

Si

Can't think why it wouldn't. Is the other seat working ok in the t5?
Istr they may only move a fraction at a time without the control module So whilst the switch pack should fit and voltage ok, you don't have the can network and module. Bodsys Brake Bible

That's great thanks for the info, I haven't hooked mine up yet but someone else has done it and reports the passenger seat works remarkably well. He was stumped by the drivers seat though, however it was in a good position for him so no major problem.

I would very much like to have full functionality on both the seats so hoping that I can fit the U.S switch and hook it up.

Will let you know how I get on!
