Just ordered my set of side steps so will have a good look at them before installing and perhaps modify to prevent them falling off if I can. May even put up some pics of it to aid others throughout the process.

my silver trim has fallen off but i have it in tact - i will try using self tapping screws to reattach it- but there are not any existing holes on the silver trim so how do i attach that to the black side step anyone got any recommendations- do i need to drill a hole into the aliminum and then use the screw? |

Anyone recommend aize and diameter of self tapping/roof screws to use please. Mine have come off! |

Hi guys, looked under mine and there was 6 x 1/8 rivets holding them on each s/step just about !! have drilled them out and replaced with some 3/16 rivets and its now got them fixed solid, quick and easy to do 2007, HSE, Cairnes Blue, Factory tints, Love it !!! |

Thanks for the write up.... my strips have started to come away at the front and back and am pleased to hear it's a common fault with an easy fix. Was worried I'd have to hack it or buy new steps.
