FWIW, I have posted a low tech suggestion in another thread but perhaps it is sensible to post it here, too.

Hi guys, new to this forum and due to collect my 2013 RR SPORT HSE BLACK this coming weekend. seeing all the discussion about rear light theft I would like to obtain security screws. I appreciate that I am new to the forum but would be willing to subject myself to any security check required to obtain this info. Incidentally I have already ordered a spare wheel protector from Ray |

As I haven't got my new 13 reg RRS yet am I correct in assuming that there are 4no retaining screws on each rear light assembly as i want to replace the existing ones with security screws. Also is it worth replacing the screws on the front light assembly, again how many screws or this a completely different issue. All advice appreciated |

garjon if you look at the posts just before yours you'll see there are 2 per side. the nuts in the holes probably do the trick but look ugly.

No screws holding the front lights in. Best line of defence is to take you bonnet release handle off and hide it in your car somewhere, because your bonnet needs to be open to take your front lights off. It still doesn't stop them smashing your passanger front window first though for them to find out they can't open the bonnet to gain access to your front lights. |

Hi to all, read this thread and having just picked up my new sport was worried, but have found a quick fix costing pence, bought 4 self tapping screws and 4 of the number plate screw covers in black replaced the existing large head screws with new and glued the number plate caps shut leave all tidy and no visible heads for the scroats to get at. If I need to I can get from side with boot open and get a Stanley in. Should work fingered crossedb |
