Scotland 2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HST Santorini Black
Service history

Just bought a 2007 4.2 sc hst. It has a full land rover service history from new. As it's now due a service I'm wondering what to do regarding do I go to my local land rover dealer (peter vardy) or do I go to my local garage? Just wondering how important you guys think off full dealer service history. Thsnks

Peter Vardy is one of the trading names for Arnold Clark Group these days - personnally I have never had a good experience with AC's dealerships - rude staff who seem to work solely on a commission basis.
With the age of your car a Land Rover specialist should be able to look after it as well as any dealership (many are dealership trained anyway) and you have no warranty other than the sellers warranty ,if any. Just make sure that the LR Specialist uses genuine LR parts - they generally charge a lot less in labour than main dealers but you won't get your car back valeted or free wifi and coffee in their portacabin like you would in a dealership service reception. I use a specialist in Larbert near Falkirk and Lix Toll Motors near Killin for my 19 years old Defender. There is also a specialist at Auchertarder but I'm not sure about up Aberdeen way.
There are members here who travel across Scotland doing servicing and remedial work. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

As Tim suggests, at that age using a LR dealership is unlikely to be worth doing. The extra cost involved (typically £100+/hr labour rate) won't be recouped come sale time. Many dealerships seem to use staff on a commission basis with the intention to get work done at less than book time even though book time is charged. Jobs are rushed and things missed. I know this to my cost. My RRS is going to indies from now on. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks for all the input guys much appreciated. I've never been one to look out for a main dealer service history just happened this one did have. From a personal experience I know the car will get a lot more care and attention from someone that has a good rep and only works for themselves or a small few.
