Transmission sleeve

I had my transmission sleeve replaced during gearbox flush last year . Now I notice it is dripping again. It looks like it is not threaded all the way flush to the sump - maybe 1/4" gap between end of plug and metal sump- and looks like top of the thread in the gap. Should these plugs be flush to the metal sump ? Or is there meant to be a slight gap after it is tightened to spec ?

Thanks

There is a small gap, but not that much. The sleeve failing is pretty common and there is a kit available to repair it. The kit has to fitted with care as there is a part on the block that is all too easy to break.
