Box trailer - which one?

I'm getting a box trailer to tow behind my SDV6 I want to sell my Transporterr T5 so it would need to carry as much or more than that. I mainly carry large amounts of stock from wholesalers around the M25 to my business about 100 mile round trip. I know nothing about trailers I'm hoping some of you guys will? I need a good sturdy twin axle (im told twin axle tow better) braked trailer which could carry around 1500/2000kg in weight and I guess size wise at least 10ft long by 6ft high 6ft wide. There seems to be a lot of choice in terms of different makes available out there can anybody recommend which are the best and what to stay away from? Thumbs Up Cheers Laurence.

Google Ivor Williams Trailers and look on their website to see where your local dealer is located. If my local agent is anything to go by they were excellent on advice for getting me exactly what I wanted (a secure trailer for all my windsurfing kit that could also carry up to 4 mountain bikes) and they can do a certain amount of customisation for you. The great thing is they change their designs infrequently so if you need spares they can usually supply them off the shelf - after having my Defender rechassised it rode about 5 cm higher after the suspension was also replaced and this is such a common thing with Defenders Ivor Williams have a replacement draw for their trailers now (cost me £25 fitted inc VAT to get the trailer sorted to tow behind the refettled 90 again). Not necessarily the cheapest but my trailer is now 25 years old and still looks like new (it is kept in my garage when not in use) 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Buster, yes a great run home even though the weather didn't play - from leaving Hanger Lane Premier Inn to Glasgow it was torrents of rain. Now know that once the engine loosens up a bit and the fuel consumption gets better that I can do the 400 miles without having to fuel up at motorway services enroute (arrived home with the fuel gauge showing just above the E but the trip computer showing 70 miles range left in the tank). Average mpg of 29.9 on average speed of 68mph. Compared to to the TDv8 the car simply leaps away when you press on the loud pedal and the ride on the 22" wheels is excellent.
Having had builders in this week I also wish I had had the tow pack fitted by the dealer before supply as my Defender is away having a lot of TLC and I have a lot of garden rubbish to take to the recycling centre 5 miles away. Looks like I'll have to fold the seats and line the boot with a big plastic tarp to get there! The car is really very nice too even if I don't have many of the toys over standard spec. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I used to have a big twin axle Ifor Williams trailer too. Another vote here. Get a 2005-2009 RRS (FAH500210) sat nav/dash mat here - the one that wasn't there when you bought the car.

Spiffing wheel centre caps available

Ifor Williams, they are the only trailer to buy! They tow brilliantly, the most stable on the market and when maintaineded well will last forever. I wouldn't buy anything else! 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE- Cairns Blue with 22" Stormers

Ifor Williams seems to be the one everybody is recommending Bow down But none of their distributers seem to have any stock I can look at? Banging Head It seems they are all built to order now!? Does anybody know of a distributers with stock I'd like to look before I buy so I can decide what size would best suit me Cheers Laurence.

Or

Anglian Trailer Centre on the A134 2 miles south of Bury St Edmunds

They do rentals as well, so maybe you could try before you buy? I used to rent a Brian James car transporter from them for track days with my Subaru, an excellent piece of kit that allowed one person to safely load/unload a car on their own in about 10 minutes.
