Have you tried to open the file, you may have Apples numbers installed which would open an excel file. MY13.5 Autobiography, Santorini Black, Privacy Glass. Gone

Pages, numbers (and the rest of them) are utter garbage. Either user Open Office as muddy suggested or if you are only doing basic stuff use Microsoft office online which is a web based version of office that's free to use kind of like google docs but better.

I use office 365. I allows installation on up to 5 computers and it's about 5quid per month. I have it on my mac, air and the same for my wife. Works great amd quite cheap.

I find numbers perfect for my basic number crunching etc.

I also find it a lot easier and more intuitive than excel.

There are some things which pickle my head about it though, like locking individual cells etc.

I run both on my Mac, and have never had to use excel for anything that numbers couldn't do MY10 HSE 3.0 TDV6 : Santorini Black : Ebony Interior w/Anigre wood : Privacy Glass (total) : Sunroof : Sidesteps : Hybrid TV : Detachable Tow Kit : Spare Wheel Cover : 22" Dished Supersports

Yeah totally agree numbers will be fine for future use but the whole golf package I use is in excel and there's too much information to just start it all over again in numbers so really need excel to continue the work
