Typical BHP achieved from a 2.7 remap?

Hey guys!

What typically have any of you achieved from a remap on a 2.7 TDV6 regarding BHP?

I'm kind of finding between 221 - 240 from the factory 188/190.

Is this about right?

Would you also really notice a difference being in a vehicle that has 225 compared to a similar vehicle that has 230?

Cheers,

Gaz. I was born with a photographic memory. Shame it didn't develop!

Between 220bhp and 230bhp is realistic Thumbs Up

Any more, and they are likely talking nonsense, Or your engine will not last very long. One of the reasons it is well worthwhile going to one of the tuners who specialise in tuning Land Rover and Range Rover models, such as Alive Tuning

You can get more power out of them, but it is more than just a remap Thumbs Up

A reputable map will set you back between £350-£500, for a map from someone who knows what they are doing.
Don't be tempted by a less well known tuner Thumbs Up

My own TDV6 is putting out about 260bhp now, with a big Intercooler, silicone hoses, EGR blanking, de-cat etc. Making almost as much power/torque at the road surface as a standard one make at the flywheel Whistle

Not found anyone with a TDV8 who fancies a drag as yet Whistle

I would advise getting in touch with Gary @ Alive. He is a site sponsor on this forum, and I'm sure he would be able to advise, and recommend someone local, if you didn't fancy the trip over to them
