Well, today was a good day. No, wait. Today was a great day. Epic day.

As some of you know I'm working with SVO to make the interior of my SVR a little different. Today, some very generous and thoughtful guys, led by the great Dr Dave "SVR' Warner, at SVO let me experience at first hand the joy of SVR.

Today I had the wonderful pleasure of having Dave's blueprint Goodwood car as my chariot. As I know Mark will agree, there are few words to adequately describe this car!

Fantastic, great opportunity to put the SVR through its paces away from speed limits and with such expert guidance.

It is without doubt a really extraordinary car which pushes the boundaries of what we expect an SUV to do. None of the people who have been in my car so far were prepared for what it can do.

I just love it, even the average 14.2 mpg so far! Mark

Goes into build w/c 23 March, then goes to SVO for 2 - 3 weeks, so will probably be May when I get it. 19 months from putting the deposit down. 

So, let's say you are having special seats. Do they build the car with a loan pair on the line and then swap them for the real thing once the car gets to SVO?

Will be very interesting to see what you're having done in addition to the ultra-high spec. Mark

Interesting question - I don't know.

When Aston Martin made the V600 and Le Mans versions of the Vantage the modifications weren't homologated so the cars were built as standard cars then rolled over Tickford Street to have the modifications done, which sometimes included replacing the exhaust, wheels, brakes, intercoolers, .... As these bits were now from a car they couldn't (officially) be used again.

I saw a white one today - looked a little more ''beefier' than a standard Autobiography with big wheels but why on earth someone wouldn't get this in Estoril Blue is out of my head! That is the colour for this beast IMHO

Agree with the colour choice Estoril all the way when I put my order in the dealer has two on order one grey the other was Estoril but has been changed to white the customers thought estoril was too loud find that very strange . 2016 bmw x5 40d m-sport space grey
