Hi Sally,

Thank you, I agree the colour is beautiful, very pleased.

No, the fuel and bag were in the car before I raised it. Sounds like there has been an error transcribing the order onto the LR system.

Hopefully, it's just the insert into centre console with the leather lid unaffected. These things tend to work using a Peltier effect heat pump, probably a shrunken version of the familiar chilled bags but they need power and an air vent.

We'll see what they come up with. For those with one, how is it switched on, with a physical switch or via the centre console? If the latter, there would be a software configuration change too. Mark

Thank you, I'm hopeful it can be retrofitted though at what cost, I do not know. At least the engine isn't likely to need to come out LOL. Mark

Thanks, current plan is to swop over one they have in a 2015 AB with mine, the technician is going to remove it today, never done one which of course fills me with confidence. There's bound to be the wiring inside the centre console so it should not be difficult. Mark

Mark - Love the SVR Bow down

My Dealer ordered wrong interior when I got B.Ed and insisted on swapping interior with a demo they had despite my concerns. I agreed under protest but got written confirmation they would order a replacement if I was not satisfied after swap. They trashed the vehicle and a replacement was ordered when I refused to cave and held them to their word. They were not happy and I certainly wasn't Evil or Very Mad

I recommend getting written agreement before you let them touch it but hopefully everything will be good - I still have nightmares from the last time I used one of their dealerships though Banging Head Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

I take your point but I think this is a relatively minor operation compared to swapping the entire interior of a car plus of course they will be learning how to do it on one of their own, at least to get the thing out.

So it's relatively low risk but I will of course be emphasising that they are not to mess things up. I'll give the salesman his due, he was back to me within 3 hours of the start of business today.

Besides, I'm about to fit the illuminated stainless threshold and "that" torch myself; you save a bundle by going to a retailer who will not only give you a discount but remove the installation charge as well.

I drove some more miles this morning in the brilliant spring sunshine. This car is epic, it's also filthy... Mark

Yes the incontrol app features a Cat 5 tracking system and it was put to good use today as my GPS antenna was removed when applying a roof wrap and the imediately rang to ask if my car was with me! The minute it was disconnected they called and when it was put back they called again immediately! Quite impressive! When it was disabled the app had a flashing warning POTENTIAL VEHICLE THEFT call (phone number)!

Mark car looks amazing mate! Love the colour reminds me of my old BMW M6 Very Happy
