07 RRS Workshop Manual

Is there anywhere I can get either a paper or electronic workshop manual for a 07 RRS 2.7? I have access to Topix but it is not a practical option - even printing pages off it, the print is basically too small to read.

Thanks

There is no workshop manual for the RRS other than is on topix - I eventually bought a weeks subscription and downloaded it file by file.

Haynes now do a D3 manual and that may be helpful but will not have your engine in it.

Sorry to necro an old thread but I cannot believe there is still no workshop manual available for this vehicle, even 10 years after it was launched. I've never owned a car that didn't have a Haynes manual available for it before! Shocked

I've searched the forum and topix comes up a lot but that is not a solution for the DIY'er... over a tenner for an hour's subscription, nearly £20 for day and over £260 for a year. Downloading it file by file sounds painfully tedious too Laughing

So my attention then switched to eBay and there is a place in the US selling OEM RRS service manuals - anyone got any experience of them? Would they still cover British spec RHD RRS?

Surprised your search on this site didn't find the threads on this topic:

The discs you can buy on eBay for £2 vary but if you get one that has the pdfs in renderable text it is nearly perfect.

Ideally copy the disc files to your laptop hard drive (speeds up access) and open them with a full version of Adobe (i.e. not just the reader) and then you can quickly search for specific words.

Obviously these discs are copies of the official files so may not be up to date and for some technical reason they don't contain the section on the body which is annoying. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Thanks - not managed to find one quite that cheap but even so they're all cheaper than the minimum hours subscription to topix... don't even have to wait for a CD in the post, you can just download the manual off their site apparently Thumbs Up

I'll see if I've got a full version of Acrobat knocking about too as searching would be really useful.

Still find it odd that there's no Haynes though Wink

theres a Haynes for the D3 and the main difference to the RRS is the ACE suspension, active cruise control and the body panels. But essentially everything else is the same as the Discovery3 Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

Thanks Bodsy although I've got a Supercharged Petrol RRS so that would presumably mean adding the entire engine bay to that list too? Sad

Has anybody actually bought a Haynes manual lately, I ahve not bought one in over 20 years since the one I got for my metro tirbo was completely wrong in so many sections, it was next to useless 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

Cheers SRE that's really helpful. Thumbs Up

Shakeapaw - yeah I got one for my Grand Cherokee, step-sons Focus and most recently my wife's 308. Have found them to be invaluable ever since my first manual that I got for my Cortina Mk 5 Laughing Do agree that some sections can lead to a bit of head scratching though!
