How was it damaged, rta I'm assuming, park it in the doorway won't take long for them to sort it if people can't get in the showroom, for what it's worth I'd name and shame because they have already taken the Censored out of you.

Good luck and I hope you get sorted

Disgraceful.... JLR may do nothing but as Bodsy says the dealership are representing the brand and JLR should have more

than a quiet word !!

if they are conducting business like an under the arches second hand garage and guilty of extremely questionable ethics.

I go to a main dealer because of the issue of trust and this undermines everything I believe to be true about them...

As already said ... trading standards is a port of call and your lawyer....

I would also pay for a days rental of one of those trucks with advertising hoardings on to sit opposite the showroom

with a few choice negative words....

Name and shame them .. absolutely .... save someone else from their unscrupulous practices ... 2014.5 SDV6 AB Dynamic ... Fuji /Santorini Pan roof and 22's

JLR are surprisingly good at intervening in these situations. Send an email to Andrew West - he's excellent and sorted out considerable issues with my Range Rover, including providing a L405 top spec replacement whilst mine was in the dealer being fixed.

Think I'd park outside the dealership with some large signs advising prospective customers to come and have a chat before dealing with these main dealers who sound like back street traders.
They should deal with it properly and professionally.
Sit it out and let them know you WILL NAME them on this and other forums.
Publish the independent findings re the poor workmanship.
Fact is fact, let them take you to court for defamation if they have the b@**s for it and then a court will find who's wrong and of course the publicity will do them a power of good Whistle

Thanks for all the messages

Slight increase today in offer but still £1700 off purchase price

Spoke to some top people today if I was the dealer principle I'd pay up he's only had the job for a while and wasn't there when I bought it but. You take the job you sort the Censored . That's my feeling

Looks like he will be getting a call from his bosses tomorrow

i would double check to make sure its not a cat D or similar, just for 100% peace of mind. sounds extreme I know but I remember I had this problem when buying my sport, lots of people trying to fool me into thinking everything was perfect. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.

An £80,000 2014 RR Sport would have to be completely mangled to be written off by an insurance company.

sure but there are different categories and it could be a D, which can be repaired yet will subsequently cost less than its market value Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.

The damage that is described here sounds well within the realms of Cat D which is not significant damage..

That is of course if it was even part of an insurance claim....

If it was, they are more difficult to insure and many insurance companies will not cover them...

If it was Cat D and not disclosed , your insurance , if you had an accident would most likely be invalid... 2014.5 SDV6 AB Dynamic ... Fuji /Santorini Pan roof and 22's

This is a problem if a car is substantially damaged but repaired "in house" it is not registered so how would anyone but an expert know .

For an £80,000 vehicle to be given a Cat D status would mean its had work done to it costing in the region of £30,000.

There are hundreds of thousands of cars out there that have had a bump and been repaired yet there is no record of it ever happening b

Highly unlikely to be a Cat D, if it was was then it wouldn't have been retailed in the first place. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

Regardless of all this HFZ shouldn't of been sold this as exdemo by a franchised dealer Evil or Very Mad

I bought a FL1 used for swmbo from a franchised dealer in Chesterfield and it turned out to be damage repaired so they gave me full refund and collected it Thumbs Up

My previous rrsport was damaged by dealer regularly referred to on here as crapstone - they were in process of selling to another company who repaired it and I lost a lot of money through no fault of my own Big Cry

Time LR stopped passing the buck IMHO Rolling Eyes Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!
