Question about access mode? How often?

Just curious here guys.

Do you all drop the RRS to access height everytime you want to get out the car or when its parked up at night?

Just wondered does the constant up and down put any wear on anything unnecessarily? Especially when I don't have a problem getting out the motor as it is. Its not too high in normal mode. I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.

I use access mode all the time - IMO it should not cause premature wear on the components Thumbs Up 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

I never use access height - except for perhaps once a year when old folk need a lift. Off road height yes, access height no. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

To be honest I don't know, it does it itself when I lock it, but only when locked, if this makes sense Thumbs Up 2007, HSE, Cairnes Blue, Factory tints, Love it !!!

Ive got side steps so the normal height isnt a problem for me. I just was curious as to what others did and whether not using it would either help maintain parts or whether it actually was worse by not being used. I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.

Hi
swmbo always uses access mode every time she parks it up

I do if she is with me or she shouts at me Laughing

always put in access as we reverse into the garage though

don't think it should lower on its own overnight though Confused maybe after a few days yes... possible leak Question as for wear should not make a deal of difference as it has to work for every bump/corner

you can use the third button on the fob to lower the car, we have ours set for turning the lights on so if I ever get the FBH working right it will turn it as a pre-heater

Thumbs Up

Third button to lower? I thought for that to work the haszards have to manually switched on? Which then defeats the point.

I have a FBH so my third button is the warm up the car button Smile I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.

hi
can not remember which page in the handbook Rolling Eyes but you can set the third button to
put the headlights on (press again and think it will then put reverse lights on?)
open the rear hatch
open the rear glass
lower suspension to access mode
may be something else as well Question Smile

as for the turning the FBH on before opening the car if you have something like the BAS fbhic it works from turning the lights on ,
my plan is to start the fbh as I take the dogs for a walk in the morning by the time I get back ready to use the car the engine is nice and warm Cool

Thumbs Up

I already have the FBH from Paul at Bas. Its great this time of year.

Although the handbook regarding lowering the car only works if hazards are on. Read closer and you'll see Smile I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.
