Opening! Then you have the option of opening it if/when you want to.

It's frustrating you can no longer get the opening roof on the HSE. But I'd cope with fixed. Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more...

All depends on how much head room you need!
This is because the mechanism to open/close the roof reduces considerably the available head room.

For example, an RRS with adjustable sunroof is not suitable for me, since I`m rather big.

On the other side, I don´t need side steps to climb into the car..  SW

OK, I think I will go with opening.

I started off with opening but all the cars in the showroom were fixed. That is what started me wondering!

I´m 6'4" and very well proportionated and with an opening sunroof, the lowered liner realy blocks my head.

If you're under 6'4 ,get the sliding Pan roof and get the wind in your hair… assuming you have hair...  2014.5 SDV6 AB Dynamic ... Fuji /Santorini Pan roof and 22's

I went with fixed. Reason is from experience over the years. Previous opening roofs invariably leaked afters a while. In reality I seldom had them open as you may expect living in Scotland.
However I do like the panoramic glass.

Skywalker are you talking about the RRS1 or the RRS2.
There is loads of room in the RRS2 as the sliding panoroof and sliding blind are inset into the roof liner by at least an inch or more so im sure the fixed panoroof will be the same with the sliding blind inset into roof liner .
so i cant imagine there being any difference in headroom between the two but someone else might no better than me  2016 bmw x5 40d m-sport space grey

Agree with Viper, notwithstanding I feel like I'm sitting a whole lot lower in this RRS than my last…and the clearance
