Bought/saved this 1982 jag xj6 3.4 auto from the scrap heap/ banger racing track last August 2013 off eBay.
No tax no mot.
I've since not been out the garage until summer 2014 when I put it on road and enjoyed it.
Body work was solid I only had to replace the two lower rear quarter panels and do a little touching up.
Fitted K&N filters.
Replaced the old suspension with a new custom height and ride adjustable set up.
Fitted some new lattice wheels.
And pretty much got it looking back to as it would when new ish.
Now winters here and it's parked up I'm focusing back on the RR as its been a little neglected the past year. Java black 2006

Yeah it's a lush drive, with the electric sunroof wound back and my old school 80's tapes on its great, I vowed to listen to nothing but 70's/80's when in it which I managed to stick too all summer Java black 2006

Yeah a got that response everywhere somebody remembers someone having one or "you never see them these days"

It's a strange car because people from all ages seem to like it from old pensioners to young kids, il get some better pics when it's back out the garage the interiors lush it's really spongey cloth with orange leather door cards and dash.

I've replaced a lot of rough looking parts on it for brand new old stock bits ie the 2 exhaust trims didn't match and the chrome treadplates were worn.

Next on the mod list is a full stainless exhaust so I can her it purr louder.  Java black 2006

Quite a few still going strong in our climate. Some even older. Mid 70s. A mate of mine has a mint 78 ish V12 XJC (coupe version) in squadron blue with a black vinyl roof. It's been given a good going over with mechanical work, the GM 3 speed auto works a treat and the old girl still has a V12 scream. Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

I've noticed quite a few company's down under doing modified parts for these jags, a lot more than up here, it seems dropping Chevy lumps into them in Australia is a common mod?
