Interesting it's a sensor, I thought it was based on when the lights were on/off.

My 2012 RRS has the same issue. Local dealer has tried the following on the advice of LR tech: software upgrade; auto light sensor replacement; screen replacement and lastly this week the whole sat nav unit replacement... But does not make any difference.. Dealer has told LR that all if the model year cars they have tried do not change theme so is there a wider issue. LR say they should change, so keep trying fixes..

LR have come back to say that this facility is not available on my model year. The option for auto is misleading and has not effext. |

Checked mine out today and it did change automaticly. However this was start off in the dark and come home in the light. Have not checked if it changes when on the move.

My sat nav changes colour scheme based on conditions. Enter a tunnel during daytime and it changes to night colours, exit the tunnel and back to day colours. No link to headlamps probably because in some countries you are required to have headlights on even during daytime. It only does that in sat nav mode though. The auto theme doesn't seem to have any effect on button colours in other screen modes e.g. audio/video etc. so I have set them to the dark setting because I prefer that over the light one and both light and dark are easily visible day & night anyway. It is a MY13 same as Fkarim. At the moment I have my lights set on auto. I will switch lights to manual and see if that makes any difference. These RRS have some strange quirky things and have obviously been designed and built on Venus not on Mars.

Mine is fixed no matter what setting I choose. I have chosen night as less distracting at this time of year with the shorter days and general gloom..
