Hi to all, I have recently noticed that when I've done a few miles to town or wherever the rrs realy smells of burning tar. I have no oil leaks or fluid leaks but cannot find the answer, the brakes and hand brake do not bind either. Any ideas on this one please |

I bought my car in April this year and about a week ago, when we first got the colder weather I had this smell for the first time. I was close to panicking at first and thought my car was on fire but the smell subsided after 15 minutes or so and I guessed it was burning off some deposits after not having been used for a long time. |

Thanks for the reply folks, the FBH has been working fine during the cold spell but I suppose it could still be the culprit. Don't think it was tarmacking taking place as it was midnight when I smelt it in our carport....... |
