Squeaking dash

Hi All,

I have a 2008 Range Rover Sport 2.7 tdv6 HSE.
In the past couple of months I have noticed what can only be described as a squeaking / plastic cracking / chirping noise coming from the dashboard area.
It happens when travelling over the slightest of uneven roads & progresses as the roads worsen.
I brought it to a mechanic who took the dash out and taped up some areas where the plastic was exposed and where it could be rubbing against other plastic.
After spending quite alot of money on this l found that the problem was still there.
A copule of weeks ago my friend was in the jeep with me and I brought it on a fairly uneven road and he thought that the windscreen was shaking.
Sure enough when I investigated it myself you could see the actual windscreen shake when on uneven / bumpy roads.
I thought that this must definitely be what is causing the dashboard to squeak as the previous owner had a winssceen replacement and it wasn't the original Land Rover stamp one on it.
When I brought it to the windscreen repair shop they explained that it hadn't been fitted correctly.
Anyway, I got the windsceen replaced today and fitted with a new windscreen direct from Land Rover.
But when driving home this evening I find the noise is still there!!
It seems to get worse as you drive and as the temp inside the jeep increases.

Apart from this the jeep is running perfectly but I'm beginning to lose my patience with this noise.
I would expect it from a lower grade vehicle but not a jeep like this!
Has anyone else encountered this problem and had it resolved or is it just down to poor cheaply fitted plastics?
Any feedback would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks.

The problem is that your car has an identity crisis. It thinks its an RRS but you call it a Jeep and it is squealing under protest. No one wants to be called a Jeep, do they? Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6
