Sounds to me as though they are sitting on the job waiting for a gap when they don't have nice lucrative servicing jobs to do. As it's the run up to Christmas I bet they're trying to clear the servicing books and you're being back burnered. I had this with a thermostat housing replacement under warranty. Similarly just before Christmas and they kept saying they were waiting for this and that to happen before they could finish. I ended up picking up the RRS on Christmas Eve...2 weeks after it went in! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Sounds plausible but I really hope they haven't put me on the back burner despite me telling them countless times how urgent this is They are fully aware that before embarking on a 2k+ miles trip in just a few days, I need to develop the same level of trust in the car that I had before this problem. The actual level sensor itself is located inside the crankcase, and is a of a job... |

Replaced quite a few lower crankcase gaskets as part of engine swaps, and never had any issues. You'll be fine for your holiday |
