Could Battery cause this

Hi Lads
The Sport has been lying off the road for a few weeks as I had bought another old 4x4 for as a runabout. I have been starting regularly but after initial start some times I would get up a message saying Special Programs off. If I had taken it out for a run the next few times starting I wouldn't get this message.
Had it out for a run yesterday and after going out to overtake someone I lost all power and drive and this same message flashed up again, coasted to a halt and then switched off and started again and all seems ok.
I have also had over the last few months the Heated front Seats working intermittently and the Radio message for Low Power Mode. Could a Battery that's not 100% cause this.

Cheers Jock

Ps the battery on the other 4x4 that I have bought is not great 66AH ,had thought about fitting the old Sport Battery if I change it which is 90AH could this cause me any problems .

It takes hours to charge the battery when driving, so starting it would not have made much difference

The Special Programmes Off message on startup IS caused by low voltage, especially when cranking, as the starter draws anything up to 300Amps...

Seeing a lot of voltage related faults now the colder weather is here.
You need to check the alternator charge rate. If this is OK, consider fitting a new battery. Batter yof choice just now is the Exide Premium, 900CCA and 100Ah, one of the best on the market, and sub-£100

Thumbs Up

Re Could battery cause this

Thanks Mikey will just go with fitting a new one mate.
Have managed to source through a friend a Varta which is stamped on my Land Rover battery 110ah with 930cca for around £120. Should this suit .It is supposed to be the Varta recommended one for it.

Thanks again Jock.
