Park Heating Question

I have just bought a 2012, 62 plated RRS HSE Luxury and it did not come with Park Heating. I have read through the forums and discussions on this but because I am a new member, I can't PM those who have responded before to ask

1). Does an install now invalidate my LR warranty?
2). I saw that you can buy the parts from ebay and Yeovil LR but does any LR dealer fit them ? (Trust me when I say I would not know where to start).

Many thanks in advance.

Just also to say that this forum was very useful when I made my choice in buying my RRS.

LR dealers won't fit them and can't enable them.
I can do this for you. Thumbs Up
Will it invalidate your warranty., can't see how it can as its std LR features. Once it's enabled and installed, they'd be hard pressed to be able to know if it was fitted front the beginning or not. Bodsys Brake Bible

Bigmalc, Sounds like a great car. There is another solution that is easier, cheaper but a lot less useful. If you have the timed park heating activated by the likes of bodsy you can pre-set a timer to have this come on at a certain time. This could be a temporary solution until you get the parts together to go for the remote activated park heating but I don't see why both timed heating and remote heating couldn't both be activated by bodsy at the same time.

Can someone please correct me if I am wrong? ...as I plan to do this until I buy the fob, antenna etc.

I understood that all RRS up till the latest model had the FBH already fitted. And should have the timed system already downloaded. If not been downloaded I assume Bodsy could do that for you. I had mine done by an Idie £50 Then i fitted the reciever and antena, behind the O/S boot panel. Which is already wired up for this remote operation. Then a remote fob off Ebay around £20. And away you go. Press the on button when you get up in the morning. Get ready have breakfast. Then car warmed up for when you go out. Thumbs Up itisme
