The link I posted was just for a replacement fob case. This came with the two part plastic shell, a rubber internal buffer, the key blank, the key button, key holder, key spring and metal key ring bracket. You would need to transfer your current circuit board and possibly the key blade if you dont want to get the blank cut.

I have some conflicting reports. Can a once programmed circuit board/transponder be "reprogrammed" to a new RR to be able to start the engine or just unlock the doors? I have been told i would need a "new, never programmed" fob to be able to start my engine, but then i have also read the used fob can be "re-programmed" for my RR and be able to unlock doors and start the engine. Can anyone shed any light on this? |

Ok, thanks again for all the help... If i buy a new fob from british parts of Utah for 155 and put the blade i have in it, is my only option to then bring all keys to a land rover dealership and have them programmed or can i program them myself or go somewhere besides a dealership to have them programmed to unlock AND start the RR? |

I have a couple of Key Cases left over, they have the Land Rover Logo on the 3rd button. |

What a superb write up Simonw007! Bought a new fob case online and followed your instructions, bit of a hassle taking the old fob case apart but as I wasn't trying to preserve it I just got tore into it (minding the circuit board insde of course). I didn't bother knocking the pin out of the key either, I just swapped the key from my old battered fob onto the new fob casing...works a treat and saved myself a few quid!....Thanks! 2010 RRS TDV6 3.0 Autobiography - Stornoway Grey
