I am hoping that someone can please help me with a problem that I have just found on my MY2010 TDV8.

When I lock the car with either the remote or the button in the handle all the doors lock except for the rear passenger side door. That door can be opened and the alarm sounds. I have searched the forum and can see threads relating to doors locking and not being able to unlock but mine's the other way round.

Any ideas please?

Sounds like a door control module.

I had something similar on mine, but it was the drivers door. When I locked the car, the locking tab did not go all the way in, leaving the door unlocked. I had a new catch fitted and all is well. 2006 RRS SC Bonatti Grey (the 55th car/van I have owned)

Before you get out of the car, press the locking tab on the rear passenger side door, then get out and lock the car as normal. Then try opening the door. I had to press the locking tab in on my drivers door when I got out to lock the car. 2006 RRS SC Bonatti Grey (the 55th car/van I have owned)

martyn05, I tried that, locking it from inside the car but it does not unlock with the central (un)locking. It stays locked until I manually unlock it from inside the car. To be honest that is our temporary workaround to keep the car safe until we can get it fixed.

Would Landrover Approved warranty typically cover a fault like this? I am away on business and will get it in to the dealer next week but I am trying to do some research to know what to expect from them.

I do not know if it would be covered under warranty. I think it cost me about £100 to get it sorted. You would have to go through your warranty paperwork to see if door latch or door catch are covered. 2006 RRS SC Bonatti Grey (the 55th car/van I have owned)

Update to this: door catch mechanism replaced under warranty (Landrover Approved) by LR dealer. All working now.
