Hi guy's,
I am new to this forum so please be gentle......I have connected my phone to the car via blue tooth and it is all running fine.
My issue is the phone book has not downloaded so I don't know who is ringing, there was never an option to download it.
I had a freelander 2 but had no issues unless it is a car/phone mis-match.
The car is a 2006 2.7 HSE and the phone is a Samsung Galaxy 4.

sounds like you need to update the blutooth module. I can swap one by post to you.

Just need to check that it uses 2121 code to connect to your phone. if it does, then happy days. If it doesn't, then the only update is to rip the dealer fit module out and retrofit a new module (relatively easy to retrofit).  Bodsys Brake Bible

Cheers Bodsy, when I paired the phone I used the 2121 code and now every time enter the phone connects so I guess it's happy day's.
How do I remove the module as I want the updated one and whats the cost and address.

IE names don't appear on my screen when someone dials in even though my phone book has uploaded

I have a 2005 RRS and have connected my Iphone 6 via bluetooth and it works fine apart from downloading the phone book. Is there a software upgrade that can be applied to allow the phone book to be accessed.

There is, as long as you enter 2121 to connect. I have modules here ready to post out on a swap basis.

Hi I have changed from Samsung 3 to Samsung 5 but I cannot transfer phonebook to RRS I use 2121 to register the phone but only picks up new phone number do I need upgrade to sort problem

Hi BODSY:
I sent you a pm but have not got an answer yet. Perhaps it was lost.
Here is my proposal to solve my problem:
I am not a mechanic but could talk in my dealer's mechanic to install your kit Disco 4 BT and the other hardware to modify the car. RRS 2005.
The dealer installed apart from the cables two modules. One as the basic phone module and another one which he calls the language module which is English.
The system works but is a pain even to store names with the phone number. Recognising my voice is probably one of the problems. But even numbers which are easy pronounced will not being read back correctly.
Which of the two modules will the disco 4 BT replace? Will it be possibly to give me written instructions on how to connect the items with perhaps a hand drawn plan?
If we can get those and instructions what to remove from the now installed system I will go into that adventure knowing that I could go back to you.
What would be the total price for your hardware?
Hope I am not too much a paine in the .... If you give me your phone number that probably would also help.
