Is it an on-going sound when driving in a straight line?

Sorry rich. Ive just gone to my posts and noticed what I typed isnt there . I wasnt ignoring your reply. I took into my local service centre for a pre mot and they did say the car was spot on with the exception my rear pads could do with changing soon. This will be done this friday. What I have noticed is that the squeek only happens when warm and its embarrassing. I left my house for a 20 mile round trip(10 miles each way to drop my son off home) and all was silent. I had the window down for the whole trip. On the return journey the squeaking started and eventually got unbearable. Could this be the rear pads rubbing metal on metal. I find it odd that a quick 2 mile trip down the road is silent

that sounds costly. i was also informed that it could be as simple as the grease worn off back of the pads when people jet wash them but unlikely to be that simple. ill let you know the outcome tomorrow mate |
