checking/replacing boost hoses

cars developed a problem and i think it could be a hose thats blown off, ive had a quick look and cant "easily" see the hoses mainly the one that goes to the turbo.
is there much involved in getting to them? i know some people swap them out for silicone so im wondering if someone can point me in the direction of the easiest route.
my little 1.8t ibiza is a hell of a lot easier to work on than this haha

thanks in advance Thumbs Up

Might be better to start with the symptoms to help identify the issue.

Common fault is the intercooler hose left hand front of the engine gets a split in it. Loads of black smoke usually and a whooshing sound. Bodsys Brake Bible

Apart from hoses, higher milage V6 have a habit of splitting bottom of intercooler. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

cheers for the reply chaps
i did post a thread a while back but couldnt determine what it was
symptoms are white/grey smoke and lots of it idle is ok but the tiniest bit of throttle results in a james bond style smoke screen
hadn't thought of the intercooler cheers for the heads up

Our Disco did this and felt like all but three horses had left the building while smoking on light to full throttle. Once detected using a smoke tester, all horse were stabled and no smoke.

Mines split the intercooler at 69k- so not that high. Got the dealer to change the hoses to silicone ones when he had the intercooler out. They come in sets of 3, the smallest one was a Censored to fit apparently but the two bigger ones are on.

cheers for replies everyone, other than a smoke test or pressure test how else can i check to see if the intercooler or pipes have split? i know a bloke who can do smoke tests but hes not exactly round the corner also it seems theres a fair bit of work in removing the intercooler so dont want to dive into it on a gamble.

I was doing a coolant flush other week and checked on bottom end of intercooler pipe. The clip was loose and the end of the hose was full of grime and dirt. No split, just a loose connection. Car runs beautifully now, but could also be due to winter service and lots of tlc!

Get on your back, under engine, offside by radiator, there is a plastic cover held in place by four plastic expansion pin thingys Embarassed. Open her up and have a look. I took the complete pipe out and gave her a clean. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.

Might be a good idea to explain the problem you've discovered. I'm no expert but I think it may help those that are in diagnosing the problem. I see lots of white smoke this time of year. You could also be losing coolant so check levels and leaks. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.

also whine on throttle bit of a whoosh but only when letting off the throttle
