I'm not too worried by the extra fuel consumption but would my resale be effected that much? (I sold the last one at 11mths). Also is it confirmed for Jan production or a little open ended? 2017 MY - Dynamic, same again!

As 2nd hand versions of the updated RRS2 are unlikely to appear on dealer's forecourts for quite some time, maybe more like a year, resale values of the current engined model shouldn't be affected in 2015 imo. However, now what happens to the SDV8? The performance gap is even more slender, it costs a lot more, higher emissions, less mpg. Maybe it will get deleted, or can LR upgrade the engine to reduce the emissions from 229 to sub 200 g/km and still make it swifter than the new SDV6? I doubt it, so as per the prior RRS tdv8, this version could be shortlived. Perhaps it could become a future discounted collectable bargain...cos some of us love these V8 diesels ....turbos not withstanding as on the prior model! |

Not sure of the point of the off road cruise control but the new SDV6 engine and the HUD look like good changes. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

SDV8 will be going soon from both the RR and RRS. It isn't capable of Euro 6 emissions - they didn't even bother to integrate start/stop. |

And dropping a turbo from the tdv6, the two stage twin turbos meant seamless power from a standing start, has turbo technology changed so much that it can make do with one, or is it a shameless cost cutting excercise leaving owners paying the same for huge lag?

The lag on the twin SDV6 is pretty laughable anyway....
