Hi folks,

Looking for a little help hopefully. I had the dreaded air bag rear suspension leak and it was going down rear right to the bump stops if left for a few days. Have fitted a new Delphi replacement strut - 3 bolts on top one air fitting and 1 bottom bolt, seemed pretty straight forward nice easy change and now it is staying level.

However coming out this morning it looked like it was in access mode, as in it was far lower than usual (but level)

Is there anything that needs to be reset or recalibrated after replacing an airbag ?

Its strange that it looks like there is still a possible leak but maybe this time all round?

Any info or tips what to check would be greatly appreciated.

Set it at your normal height and then before you lock up for the night, remove the suspension fuse (in the engine bay fusebox). That will stop it from self levelling. If it goes down, you know that there is a further leak, usually the valve blocks (one at front and rear and a centre one) if it's not pipework joints etc. Bodsys Brake Bible

ive just been out to check in works car park and the suspect rear driver side is again down,
any ideas what to check next ? the air bag Is new and I thought that would've solved it due to it being just one side

As Ian says, that is the only way to determine an air leak.

You have replaced the bag, which should.eliminate that. You then have to isolate each part of the system in turn to see where the leak is

Put or spray some washing-up liquid on the joints you disturbed and check they're all airtight. If so work back the system on each joint, pump and check pipework for chaffing.

Pulled the relay out.... Waiting game

After 24 the whole truck has settled lower with the suspension relay out. It hasn't gone lower on the rear right this time it's all square.
Myriad the fairy on the airbag joint of the bag I changed- could I have both a sensor issue that's sending the rear right down but also it's still leaking with the relay out so a leak be present somewhere

The relay doesn't provide the ECU with power, only for the compressor.

As Ian says, you need to remove the fuse, or disconnect the battery to kill the power supply.to the suspension ECU

I pulled the fuse this time- (F26 If I remember right) and this morning it was only down on the rear right the side that was always the worst. The rest had held itself up, which looks like it hasn't tried to level (as the lack of fuse wouldn't allow it)

Would this point to leaking air still?

You have an air leak in that corner, or the pipework to that corner, or a leaky valve block

Great thank you. Is it easy enough to get to the block? So I need to remove anything to get at it?
I can get it on a ramp at my mates then try the fairy on all joints.

The rear valve block is on the front face of the rear N/S suspension turret. You just need to remove the wheel. Also, remove the spare to give you another approach route. It's about £100 for a new one. Make sure you get the correct one - the front and rear valve blocks look the same but they aren't the same. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
