Why would the MOT tester care about a missing silencer? |

Do they do a Db check during an MOT? I thought it was just during registration of a vehicle! I.e you built a car, or first test of manufacturer spec! I can't say I've checked but then ive only had tested standard exhausted vehicles. 2007 RRS 2.7 HSE - Java Black |

A copper can pull you over if its too loud and have it tested, not sure if its at an mot station or not? 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater ))) |

Yeah I'm sure there's a legal limit, a lot of my biker mates are pulled every now and then for dropping baffles out or running race exhausts, cars on the other hand tend to not be as noisy just more growley if that's even a word, I'm sure a V8 will sound a lot more natural than a 1.0 with a cherry bomb 2007 RRS 2.7 HSE - Java Black |

There are no specific noise limits but the is an excessive noise from exhaust section.
