Great info Macdaddy, thanks helped me out a lot today, the brake pad warning light came on today, used this to change my front pads, now the dash light is staying on so I suppose I have to change the cable too? About to get into a sport |

Did you also measure rotor thickness - anyone know what spec is for that ? If rotor is pretty smooth with no big ridges on outer edge it is probably OK to just change pads - but I thought you should turn rotor (if it is in spec still) or replace - with pads - if rotor is showing signs of wear ...

I would use axle stands on hard ground as well as a trolley jack to to the lift.
