done mine myself and no they dont need front and rear together...

Generally front @ 22-25k and rear @ 30k!

Geniune parts from LR very reasonable @ around 100 front or rear pair including the new sensor and brackets!

anyone else stuggle getting the front sensor to stay in the Censored caliber? Bow down

Done both front and rear and sensors best prices were from Famous 4x4 for Land Rover parts, louth and they arrived next day would advise always ordering the brake wear sensors as they become very fragile with age.

This may help you guys as well.
The Brembo fronts are as already shown in this thread, but the std ones and of course the rears are the same as the D3.

Always check for the latest version, currently 1.6a

I am looking to change the pads on my front brembo brakes and this guide is really useful.

A quick question, other than the pads and one brake sensor, is there any other part I will need eg springs etc ?

Thanks Proud owner of a 2008 TDV8 HSE.....and an Audi A3 2.0T DSG Cab and a Porsche 911 Turbo (Mercedes W208 320 CLK and Mercedes W124 E220 Estate now gone)

Nothing extra needed when i did it, You only need the sensor too if yours has triggered the light on the dash.

Great info Macdaddy, thanks helped me out a lot today, the brake pad warning light came on today, used this to change my front pads, now the dash light is staying on so I suppose I have to change the cable too? About to get into a sport

Did you also measure rotor thickness - anyone know what spec is for that ? If rotor is pretty smooth with no big ridges on outer edge it is probably OK to just change pads - but I thought you should turn rotor (if it is in spec still) or replace - with pads - if rotor is showing signs of wear ...

Plan to do my rears soon ...

I would use axle stands on hard ground as well as a trolley jack to to the lift.

Nice and safe then.
