I have picked up a RRS HSE 2010 model and I see that the vehicle is fitted with Pirelli P Zero run flats on the front axle with factory fitted Conti on the rear. Not sure if a standard RRS alloy rim is designed for Run Flats. Is there anything fundamentally wrong with what I have here? Thanks for any advice on this.

All I know from my experience of run flats is that you will get a smoother ride without them and they can be a pig to fit .

Where did you pick your motor up from? Dealer or private sale? Personally, i would change all the tyres to the same make, ie Pirelli Scorpion none runflats. I would never mix tyres on any of my vehicles.

None other than Stratstone of Mayfair. The sales person was not aware of the fact that different tyres were on the vehicle. They were different on the same axle. Hard to believe but true. I have moved the wheels so that at least they are the same on each axle. The alloys are perfect so I suspect that when the reconditioning was done the wheels were put back on without checking.

No surprise there then. I would send the vehicle back and be asking for 4 nee matching tyres. 1, its not standard practice for a L/R dealer to sell a vehicle with none matching tyres. 2, should you have a warranty claim for suspension or drivetrain issues, then JLR may reject the claim due to none recommended tyres been fitted. 3, should you have an accident in the vehicle, your insurance company may also pick up on the fact that your tyres are none factory spec or recommended should your vehicle be inspected, and also reject a claim. 3 good reasons to get the dealer to change them all foc. What else have they missed on their inspection before releasing the vehicle to you?

There is more: They are not sure what an Auxiliary Heater is doing on a RRS and stated that RRS is not fitted with an Auxiliary Heater. As I can see the device under the bonnet I pointed out that the vehicle certainly does come with the aux heater as its under the bonnet. They asked me to let them know more about this.
I will take up the tyre issue with the dealer as I agree with you on the insurance risk. Same risk with the warranty on the LR Approved Vehicle.
Very concerned that a dealer would be passing off the vehicle with incorrect tyres.
I find the dealers general knowledge of the vehicle to be very poor to miserable.
I have checked TOPix to find out the build info for the vehicle. I found a mismatch on the paint colour in their database. Mine is Buckingham Blue - their records show Arctic White for the entered VIN. They are checking that out.
