Suffered a near side rear puncture today, luckily only discovered it when I came to drive home at the end of the day, so must have deflated over a few hours.
Changed the wheel and found that the inside edge of the tyre was down to the canvass! So was very lucky it didn't let go on the move
Drove home cautiously, and checked the inside edge of the off side rear, same situation!
These tyres were on the front previously and were getting low on tread anyway (though still legal in depth), but the inside edges have failed drastically in the c.6K miles they've done since being switched. I intend to be much more thorough when checking my tyre wear in the future!
I'll be ordering a full set of Pirellis to replace them 2016 VW Golf GTD DSG
