Front diff pinion seal replacement.

Has anyone had this part replaced? if so at what cost?

Also has anyone actually swapped this part themselfs? I don't mind tackling jobs myself as long I've not to drop diffs off etc as I work off the floor (old school Wink )

Sorry the car is a 57 plate tdv8 if that makes a difference.

The diff is supposed to be set up on a bench, with new collapsible washers etc.

There was a guy on D3 who replaced his. Marked the nut and retightened to the same marks. Diff died 1000 miles later

Which is the correct LR service procedure

I ve done a few in the past no probs so i suppose it was just incorrectly performed repair

The flange is a really tight fit ( you will need a puller of some kind)

Thanks

An hour maybe ah hour and a half ( on ramp )
I was able to put my hydraulic puller on the flange
Parts wise the flange usually was ok with no grove so
the seal was the only part changed
