Hi my engine fault came up yesterday and car sounded different while towing boat. It was ok coming back..can I take it to any garage to get it interrogated or can it only be done at a LL stealer

Which engine you running??

Was towing my boat last month and then had issues with the turbo actuator sticking, engine light came on. Also split the intercooler hose, 30 pounds for a new hose and wd40 sprayed on the actuator and all is well again.

What noise have you got? Have you checked for split hoses? Cost less to replace than a trip to the garage for a diagnostic. TDV8 Java Black, Overfinch 22s

It was the message on screen that kept coming up. No warning lights.
Sound was as though exhaust was blowing a bit, a bit of a bark to it.
Will have a nose under bonnet tomorrow. Took same route back with boat and no probs!

Check the intercooler hoses, on the top of the engine, right in front of you. Mine had an inch long split underneath, there is a photo on here where I tried to patch it over with tape to get to a garage, didn't hold!! Noise sounded similar to what you have described, just losing all boost on one bank.

Worth checking your actuators too, mine had seized on one side and took 2 mins to free off.
